any one own a s& 15-22?
« on: February 05, 2026, 07:05:59 PM »
looking at buying one as a gift for a 12 year old.   I want to know if they actually run, or are they problematic.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

Not me, but it rated GUN TESTS GRADE: A (BEST BUY). $500. Gun Tests has been independently reviewing firearms since 1989. This website contains many older reviews. Unless otherwise noted, these reviews carry the guns’ prices at the time of the original review. They accept NO advertising and NO free guns. They go out and buy guns with their own money and give them HONEST reviews, unaffected by outside influence. Unlike EVERYONE else I know of. Go for it TAB. And good for you.

Friends who own them say they run.  I'm wanting one myself.

I have one that I got shortly after they were introduced. While I do not shoot it every time I go to the range, I have never had an issue. The fit and finish is fine, but not to the level of a Davis Defense. Mags are plentiful. I did det mine up with a cheap red dot to somewhat duplicate my go-to gun (Which I have now changed to a 5.56 Tavor).

Hope that helps.

Like the positive reviews on here, I had the chance to run many rounds through a couple when they first came out. They ate every cheap round we ran through them. I was going to buy one, tried to buy one, but the demand was so high that they were hard to get. By the time they were readily available, when I was thinking about them, we were in the process of our move to commie land.

Side note/drift:

This commie state has fallen so low that when I took my ARs to the range I was scoffed at. The AR10 brought sneers and snide comments, and the AR15 I used for 3-gun was openly ridiculed. This is from supposed gun people and members of the advocacy group for the state.

If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

Looks like a fun little rifle, wish I could own one in the peoples republic of newyoristan.
Ironic thing is,I have an AR with all the banned features, but since it has a permanent magazine installed it's completely legal... :o ::)

So what's the actual difference between the two models.  One I see has a threaded barrel...the other may but it is not specified.  The bundle thing doesn't do anything for me...are their measurable differences?  Shell deflection differences?  ????
