A prayer thread of my own...
« on: October 16, 2008, 06:21:04 PM »
Shouldn't have taken over the other thread.  Thought I'd better start one of my own for a friend recently returned to Iraq.  We found out that while he was home on leave the Humvee that he is assigned to was hit by enemy fire.  One of his friends was killed.

Our friends name is Scott and haven't heard the name of his buddy or any other details.

Prayers to both families.

Scott, his budy and his family, as well as the rest of the crew in Iraq, are in my prayers tonight.

May God bless them all.

I burn candles everyday and every day I ask for protection and prayers for all who need it.. I will add them to the circle.

Thank the good Lord your friend was safe at home at the time.  I also would be happy to keep him and the others in mind as I pray.  God bless them for the job they do and give them protection as they do it.

Added to my normal list.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

We owe a debt we can never repay to ALL our veterans, even more to those who give all.

My 4 step plan: Bring'em home. Close the door on the way out. Sand to glass. Drill here.
