Hearing Protection for hunting

I'm planning to hone my handgun technique this winter by hunting rabbit with my single stack. I'd like to find amplified hearing protection without having to wear earmuffs. Suggestions for anything relatively affordable?

I have used borrowed ProEars in competition and loved them.  You can hear the brass magnets working and even the brass under your feet.  They are spending, so I haven't pulled the trigger on them myself.  However, I did buy a pair of Caldwell at Friends of NRA.  I think they are in the mid $30's from MidwayUSA.  I used them for some target, and they work.  Plan on using them for fall hunts (forgot them on the trip to the northwoods already), and bullseye.

So far I think the old adage "buy the best you can afford" is going to hold true.  Can you afford $250, or is $50 the limit?

I looked at both the proears and caldwell, and al I saw were muffs. I have a couple pair of Peltors, but I'd like to find something in an in the ear plug, or over the ear design. I looked at the Walker Game ears, but I'd prefer something designed for two ear use to retain better echolocation.

I'd like to stay under $200, but if there wer something really outstanding, I could go as high as $300. Beyond that, and I might just stick with my Peltors.
