i have had a lot of problems due to the mags. This state sill has the AWB in acted and good mags are impossible to get. Other than that good setup. Remember the gun was good enough for the "A-team" ;D.

I've got one of the target models in gthe safe...hadn't had a chance to hammer it out yet. Maybe next week.

Mags are always the weak part of the Mini 14 equation...I happen to think theyr'e better guns than they're given credit for, but in my experience, only the 20-round Ruger factory mags are 100%. I tried a lot of aftermarket mags a few years back and they all sucked.

My mini has replaced an AR as a coyote relocation device. I was able to find a rail at SHOT that takes the place of the factory heat shield. I'm now able to mount a white light and optic, something that I wasn't able to do before without using electrical tape. It's never failed to go bang and is sufficiently accurate for it's intended purpose.

How peculiar......

I have a Mini-14 and quite a few aftermarket mags.  Have never had a problem with any of them, even after they have been left fully loaded for years.

Just don't use them to drive nails with!

(Just remembered, one exception: a 40 rounder that never did work right.)
