You know, maybe I should CIF my Camp Carbine.     Who makes stocks for the Marlin?    Something with a skeletonized stock and pic rails on the forearm.
Will work for ammo

You vile person Fatman, you should have gone with the Fibre Force stock, no deadly pistol grip.

Meh. All in or all out.

Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

Fatman, the Muzzlelite bullpup looks neat but is a little more than I'd want.   The Fiberforce appears to be only for .22lr models though one would think the camp is close in design, perhaps larger.

I think if I can get a cheap wood stock, I'd work on slimming and skeletonizing it into something a little more....un...tactially, er cosmetically incorrect.

Dambit! I just CIFed my SKS. What ever have I done? This rifle was a peaceable means of skill and enjoyment on the weekends. Does this mean my rifle will now wreck havoc in US cities?  Whatever have I done? It's sackcloth and forced MSNBC remediation for me.

Fatman, I question that you really understand the gravity of what you have done and how utterly offensive it is.  Your repentance is not complete unless you watch 200 hours of Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Frank and Clinton speaking on the floor of the House or Senate.  400 hours of historical reference observing Carter, Daschle, O'Neill, or any number of RINO's can be used as a substitute for 50 hours of the primary penance.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

Meh. All in or all out.

I shall give a typical anti-2A response:
"Why do you need such a rifle, Fatman?" or "What role does this rifle play in today's society?" "It's looks SCARY!!!"   ;D

It looks really cool! I like it!

For me, I call them rifles. Why? Because that is what they are. Just a note of caution: I think getting too cute with terminology might backfire on us. Nevertheless, maybe this one might stick: Politically Incorrect Firearm (PIF). They understand what political incorrectness is about and tying these rifles to that concept might have some impact. Oh well......

Haz, I disagree with you again.

Your stated belief does not apply towards conservative consequences.  Cruel and unusual punishment is actually desireable among liberal/socialist/marxists/communists to reinforce liberal/socialist/marxist/communist ideals and being excessively punitive towards a conservative, especially a gun-toter, satisfies a justifiable and necessary action for a liberal/socialist/marxist/communist person to assert that their beliefs are superior and to inspire self-confidence and justification in that liberal/socialist/marxist/communist who's plan is really the only the logical path of enlightenment for any and all beliefs not akin to the narcissism and repressed liberal/socialist/marxist/communist sadism that is rightfully admonished upon conservatives.

Does that make sense to you now?

Do you not watch TV news and read the papers?

Oops! You did say camp, I somehow missed it. I'll look again. Playing with a wood stock yourself could drive you nuts.  The hand guard on the SKS took 'minor' filing to make it fit the brackets from the old guard. About 40 minute worth of 'minor'! lol Can't put back what you filed off, after all.

As to Politically Incorrect Firearm v Cosmetically Incorrect Firearm, I'd give the nod to PIF for one reason - I agree it's more likely to ring with the middle ground. Those not in the know about these rifles certainly DO know about politically incorrect issues.  Even if they stay silent, most disapprove of mind control from the left.

A big thanks to you, Alf for starting the discussion and getting the creative juices flowing.

I now have one PIF, and soon will have two.  ;D
