5 what of paint?

5 gallons?  5 Hours of painting?  If it is gallons, what brand?

I have no clue about CMMG so I acn only guess, but I've read on many different posts that the difference in lowers is mainly the name stamped on them.  That true?

Yeah, there are really only 3 or 4 companies that actually produce their own lowers...  Most companies are assemblers and/or finishers, rather than manufacturers.  That said, the CMMG lowers I've seen had a darn good finish on them.

$250 for 5 gallons of paint!  Holy Cow!  What's in that stuff?  I thought "Flex-Bon" paint was over priced!  What is that paint used for?

Back on Topic:  What sort of stock and barrel do you want to get for the lower?

Thats standard retail price for a major paint manufactors  best ext latex paint...   you should see some of the more industrail products... they run in the $30 + dollars.

Per square foot.

I'm not joking.  I have products in my shop right now that are $900 per gallon.
