As for the actual point of serving the papers you have the support you need.  However, watch yourself as they will not babysit you around the clock.  Remember, after all is said and done the police will only be minutes away with seconds count!

Maybe He doesn't have a weapon but he's 6'6" 250LBS

If he is a meth addict, I think the 250 lb part is a non factor.  Also, it is California, if he bothers to eat he's probably still weak from living on tofu and sprouts.   ;D  Just kidding!  Good luck, Tab.

I've done this many times before, I do have a game plan.

Since I'm not familar with your job, I take it you're like a repo guy but for rented properties? Anyway, you said you have a game plan. Follow it. That's the best option, especially if it's written down in a policy and your lawyer approves of it, ect. I would not do anything that hasn't been established as a Standard Operation Procedure, because in the event he sues you, you're going to have to defend your actions and explain why you devivated from your own SOP. I wouldn't recommend that situation, not that I'm giving you legal advice. Also, don't dwell on everything going wrong, cause you'll find a way to make it happen. Just have a positive mental attitude about ruining this guy's day.

I'm a general contractor that has property man/maint biz on the side.  The procedure is laid out by law, its very easy to fallow, but a PITA.   really, one more lawsuit against me would be nothing.  I'm currently being sued by 1 party and suing 5.   All but one of those is from a contractor I was subing for disapearing on a spec house.  The other is a bounced check tht I will most likly never see a dime of.   On the plus side I have a nice arangement with my lawyer... we both have a tab.  currently she ows me money, but that won't last.

The prob is the LEOs here do not serve or protect, which is a damn shame since I have to pay for them to serve the eviction notice( state law)   There has only been one of these where they stayed longer then about 10 mins.

Well by this time the episode should be over. Would like to hear how it turned out. My two cents would be to tip the cops next time. I am sure that would make them much more attentive now and in the future. Just reality.

Hence his screen name.
Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

Well long story short, they were 41 mins late, but I was thier 1st of the day   ::)

I had all the paper work plus a floor plan ready for them... They could have care less about any paper work.  They were there 4 mins.  They cleared the house taped the notice in the window and left.   Its like they the $165 this time  ::) .

So come 6 am( if the LEOs show up on time.... never have before)  I'll be doing a forced eviction.

A little base line, guy lost his wife, got into meth, no rent for 6 months.  I know nothing about him other then what was on his renters app and credit report.  He was a bean counter, clean credit.  There will be 2 officers an employee of mine.  You can not carry a gun.

What would you do?

I've done this many times before, I do have a game plan.

Unarmed?
Wait on him to walk out and try to wipe a booger on him.....when he runs away, lock the door and take what's left of his stuff.
