I've had to finish off the aftermath of those that just shot the deer to shoot the deer.

If your not going to eat it, you don't shoot it.

Because of high limits here in Georgia, poaching out of season has lessened considerably over the last 15 or so years. There are still a lot of 'night poachers' as referenced in my earlier post.
Twenty years ago, the limits were really low and poaching was so bad here that the poachers actually shot out the lights on Game wardens vehicles. They even shot one warden's dog that he kept with him. It was really bad then, but it is a lot better now (at least in my area).
