Heinlein centenary.

Reading Michaels blog about the Robert Heinlien centenary, 07/07/07, makes me think of all the novels I read, and am glad of the person who turned me on to them.  I have not read " the moon is a harsh mistress" but will seek it out.I have read, starship troopers, stranger in a strange land, farnhams freehold,friday, and all the Lazarus long books. My favorite characters are Lazarus and Myrtyle the fertile turtle. Special thanks to Michael as this event could have easily gone by, without notice.

I did not get to talk with either Ayn Rand or Mr. Heinlein, but was able to spend about 30 minutes with uncle Jeff and his wife. I will treasure that forever. I guess uncle Jeff was mirroring Heinlein when he said, " every man shoud be able to Kill, clean and cook his own meals. " there is more to the quote.

The Blast from the past movie with Brandon Frasier, Sissy Spacek and Christopher Walken show some of Heinleins Ideas from Farnharms Freehold.
