Don't you wish YOU could tell your boss, "Oh, by the way, you just gave me a 5% raise." But they don't have guts enough for that, several years ago they voted to make it automatic. It's what they call a "deemed vote" unless you specifically say you are against it you are "deemed" to have voted for it with out it ever coming up on the floor. That way it isn't on your voting record if someone were to look for things like how you are spending MY money. Sweet deal huh ?
Go into politics, you can screw more people than Long Dong Silver.  ;D

Today's Fargo Forum (semi-worthless local paper - mostly AP wire stories) had an interesting article on the local judges and their reversal rate in the ND Supreme Court (no intermediate courts here - very frugal state). The worst was one woman who retired at the end of last year whos sustain rate on appeal was a whopping 58% - basically, if you appealed, you had a coind flip as to whether she would be overturned or not. The only other woman judge had a 60% sustain rate.

You should have read the crap in the article from lawyers, law school dweebs and other judges who poo-poo'd the overturning rate as not important. Like hell it's not!

More tax dollars at work.

Just goes to prove what my Dad used to say, "A judge is nothing but a lawyer who kissed the right politicians a$$."
We have an "Esteemed Jurist" here in NH, Named Charles O. Douglas III, when my plowed his driveway back in the 60's he had to sue to get paid, but Chucky kissed the right political a$$ and eventually became a state supreme court justice, some recent unpleasantness for him last summer when his wife went on trial (and was convicted) of embezzling from her clients. We do not have a "justice" system, we have a "legal industry".
