Just a quick thank you to Michael and the gang for Best Defense! My wife and I watch these, I am an avid shooter, she is not. This show gives us something to talk about.

I really like how you are using women in real everyday situations and how they can be overcome by the simplest of techniques, ie... a call for help.

The home invasion and the the parking lot scenarios really got my wife to thinking. While she doesn't carry a gun, yet, she does carry a cell phone, and these episode give her, IMHO, a much better defense in her life right now that a gun ever would.

I like that awareness & avoidance are stressed.  I was impressed with the segments regarding personal threats & ask my wife to look at them with me.  The emphasis on situational awarness & escpae/evasion as opposed to punishing your attacker have caught her attention, & have increased her confidence.  (We bought some pads & guards & I think she enjoys giving me a good walloping!)  I know she'll never take up a pistol (she hates the recoil, even 9mm or 38spcl) & having some knowledge & skill has reduced her paranoia at bit.
Now if only I could afford to visit & take instruction in person...

Teriffic programme from start to finish lads.  Here's hoping for many more to come (& not just because I'm a cheap bugger!)

Rob, Mike and I feel really strongly that any self-defense training/programming that doesn't emphasize awareness and avoidance is doing you a disservice, because that's a vitally important part of overall personal defense strategy.

We really want you guys to be able to share TBD with your wives and children...am very glad to know it's working!

Believe it or not I am now hooked on "The Best Defense."  Great show lots of helpful info not only for me but for my wife as well.  Please !! Stay on the air as long as possible. Unfortunatley other shows of this type have come and gone rather quickly in my opinion.

I am absolutely impressed with the first season of The Best Defense!  This show covers specific topics that I haven't seen in any other publicly available media--short of taking an intense firearm/self-defense training course.

Many kudos to Michael Bane, Rob Pincus, and Mike Janich!
