New Hampshire puts U.S. Gov. on notice
« on: February 05, 2009, 11:28:28 AM »
Can you imagine any state in today's economic turmoil putting the federal government on notice? Well, that is exactly what New Hampshire has done and all other states should follow their example. With their House Concurrent Resolution they've spelled out exactly what violations will no longer be tolerated. More over the resolution doesn't stop at a mere legislative warning but carries it to the executive and judicial realms as well. Listen to the language from the resolution; hear it echo in your mind.

I just checked and the status of this bill is still listed as "in committee". Hearing was scheduled for 1 PM today, so it may not be over yet.
I'll post further info in the  "NH ready to succeed" Thread as it becomes available.

I've never been one for Yankees, but them New Hampshire folks might just be alright...maybe.  Us Texans ought to seek the same set up in here.  God save the Republic of Texas.

As I posted on the other thread about this, I don't KNOW, but your state Constitution may have been rewritten after the Civil War to prevent this sort of legislation. In NH we still have a Revolutionary war era Article 10, Right to resist tyranny.
Check your State Constitution, then if it doesn't contain any prohibitions on Dissolution's of the "Union", You can pass the resolution on to your lawmakers .

Sec. 1.  FREEDOM AND SOVEREIGNTY OF STATE. Texas is a free and independent State, subject only to the Constitution of the United States, and the maintenance of our free institutions and the perpetuity of the Union depend upon the preservation of the right of local self-government, unimpaired to all the States.

Sec. 2.  INHERENT POLITICAL POWER; REPUBLICAN FORM OF GOVERNMENT. All political power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit. The faith of the people of Texas stands pledged to the preservation of a republican form of government, and, subject to this limitation only, they have at all times the inalienable right to alter, reform or abolish their government in such manner as they may think expedient.

These are the first two sections of the Texas Bill of rights.

I have just contacted the Governor's office and my federal representatives to suggest such a bill in Texas.  Next time I meet the Governor I recommend this action in person.  If your state loves freedom you need to do this too, unless you want Chicago politics controlling your state.

this could possibly lead to the civil war rumors we've been hearing about on alternative net radio like alex jones/rense/cliff high-webbots et al etc. **even the john titor netlore mentioned this back in 2001

In case you didn't hear about it on the mainstream media (which you haven't because they want to keep us asleep), numerous states are currently declaring sovereignty, including:

" his could possibly lead to the civil war rumors we've been hearing about on alternative net radio "

This time we HAVE GOT to make sure the issue remains States rights, Personal freedom and keeping the Federal Govt. in line. We can not allow people to be sidetracked by a symptomatic issue as they were in 1860-1865.
The issue is not JUST guns, not JUST the $900 Billion rip off they are calling the stimulus package. The issue is the bloated Federal Govt. trampling the Constitution, ignoring the 10th Amendment and other limitations and interfereing in every aspect of a law abiding citizens life in direct contradiction of every ideal of the founding fathers of this nation.
