Federal Directive to Destroy Fired Military Cases .223/.308
by Stephen A. Camp Today at 21:11

Hello. Below is the text of an email I just sent an informal group I keep updated on Second Amendment issues:

"Federal Directive to Destroy Fired Military Cases in .223 & .308

Here is the link: http://www.jpfo.org/alerts03/alert20090313.htm

Here is one immediate result: http://www.georgia-arms.com/

Georgia-Arms is a major supplier of reloaded ammunition.

Here is a link to make contacting elected representatives.

Thanks for the info! Talk about making ammo expensive and out of reach for people! These are the kind of tactics the Obama administration will use to screw us.....We must be vigilant. I will have a few e-mails going tomorrow to my senators and congressmen.

Don't blame BO just yet, as of yet no one knows where this came from( I'm not saying he didn't do it, just get the facts before you convict the guy)

I'd be willing to bet that some scrap yard was selling it to some one they were not supose to... so rather then just stop selling to them, no one can buy it.

Hello.  Closer scrutiny shows that this is not an executive order from THE ONE.  It is a policy implemented to destroy brass intended to be sold only as scrap.  There is a provision in it that says brass from 50-caliber down can still be sold in the US.  The scary thing to me is that there's nothing that says policy cannot be expanded to include all military brass for the scrap pile.  For this reason, I suggest that we contact our elected representatives and express concerns.

I am not sure that some of these initially-seem-worse-than-they-are-when-you-scratch-the-surface items are being put out to gauge the reaction that might be expected.

Best to all.

I remember reading some where a year or 2 ago that  DLA "Scrap" sold to foreign countries had been found to contain functional stuff that SHOULD NOT have been exported, such as aircraft and missile parts, that while they were out of spec/expired whatever, were still usable and COULD have been, possibly were, resold to 3rd parties such as Iran, who have no legitamate sources for their American made equipment such as F 14's.

Does this follow the mantra:

The Right Way to do something.
The Wrong Way to do something.

and,...The Military Way to do something? :P
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

Well Georgia Arms how now stopped selling .223 and .308 since they use once fired brass.  So someone believes it.
