Overload, I think your apraisal there is pretty accurate of this round fired at a human torso. Given such a weapon / round, I'd only ever consider head shots. I think it'd be well applied there. Moving fast enough, & small enough to pierce a hole rather than ricochet off. Punching a pencil size hole through a persons brain seems like it'd do the trick. I think there's a good chance of making a good 1" hole in the back of the skull, and the ventury from the still fast moving "pencil" should take some amount of tissue with it out said hole. (theorizing)
One strange note with this ammo (solely from my own experience), when shooting rabbits, fox squirrel, even a skunk once, I've noticed the solid points actually will make a bigger hole and do more caviation damage than the hollow points. Most of the time, not always. After they get inside about an inch the solid points often open up a cavity the rest of the way through thats about half an inch to an inch in diameter. I've seen them exit with anything from three .22 size holes, to single one inch hole with rips in the hide around it. Cant explain why the hollow points dont seem to do as much. Head shots are ALWAYS DEVASTATING, dont leave much behind.
