Sorry Hazcat, the shotties went to my son (I kept the 870, in fact I'm taking it to a defensive shotgun class on Saturday) and the plinkers are reserved for my grandkids.

Yeah, I figured that and that is the way it should be!  (but I HAD to ask  ;))

My fun guns are my Heritage Rough Rider with 6 & 1/2 barrel with iron sights and my Henry h001 rifle.  Both are in .22lr which is easy on the wallet.  It's a Zen thing.  Like fishing, but better! ;D

My Ruger Mark I, missing some of its blue, known to my confederates as my "Fishin' Pistol"
My .357 Blackhawk and .44 Super Blackhawk, in the fall make short work of long shots at the Hedge Apples that litter the fence rows (Hedge Apples make great targets)
And my Rossi Puma, .45 Colt loop lever saddle carbine with my .45 Colt 4 5/8 Barrel Blackhawk in a belt holster when I am in a John Wayne mood.

I'm new to this forum,(really any forum) but the topic of "fun Guns" got my peabrain to thinking---as I am now in my mid fifties, I decided that anything I wasn't going to shoot was not fun and that was one of the "excuses" for downsizing my firearms. If I have a gun that is not fun for me to shoot, I haven't figured it out as of today with one exception---44 Mag Scandium. And that one is reserved for supposedly carrying for backup when hunting.

Judge is short barrell, 3 inch stainless.
I shoot Ultramax 250gr round nose and Hornady 255 gr cowboy ammo with better than expected accurcy, about a 3 inch group out to about 25 yards and then it will open up a little.  After a few shots to get the range I can chase a coffee can around the yard at 50 yards.  Winchester .410 slugs a pretty accurate too.  I shoot mostly autos, this is only my second revolver and the DA trigger pull seems about 600 pounds but the SA is light and smooth.

That's pretty darn good, especially when you consider the long jump for the 45 from the cylander to the barrel.
