How will they ever top the K car? That amazing performance, and styling. FIAT should help.

I went through this entire "steenkin' " thread this morning and none of you guys got it.  Well, I guess it doesn't matter for the most of you old married guys anyway.  Surely I thought...one of you would key in on what is really important.  What is it that would turn the ladies' heads?  Nope...ya'll just talked about your Hursts and you roller cams and your dual exhausts and.....tsk, tsk, tsk.

That kind of focus sure increased the pool to choose from for guys like me in......."the old days".   8)

Speakin' of the old days...I'm kinda partial to the Challenger myself.

Your point is not lost on me Rastus.....

I rode a motorcycle in HS and a beat up old Mustang for the winter.  Your right, all the gearheads worrying about their cars and the jocks worrying about their thick necks left those lovely cheerleaders and pep squads to those of us with enough charm to have a field day.....

It was a pleasure being me back in the day....

I drove by a black SRT8 yesterday, nice looking but again, not practical, unnecessary and overpriced ain't my cup of tea....I never needed the flash and speed of a car to impress anyone.  I have HAIR!!!

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I was just going through email at work and saw something funny. We won't have a Camaro on the lot until the 15th and there is already a recall on 'em!!!  The positive battery cable is routed funky it appears!, looks like an easy fix but DAMN, if you're gonna pay that much, couldn't it be right the first time ???

Sad but true, engineering; (the looks great on paper people), rush production instructions to overpaid union people that don;t even realize that unprotected battery cables in chafe prone areas WILL CAUSE BIG PROBLEMS!

They need to think outside the box, but it's going to be even tougher now.

How much of Chrysler is owned by the gov't and the unions now?  GM/Chevrolet....?

I feel much better now,.......(sarcasm added....)

To me, the winner will be the first one to realize they need to go back to the good old days of muscle cars and stuff an old-school torque monster with some modern updates in it. At least for me that is. Not that I am against doing the mods myself, got plenty of mechanical skill under my belt. But to pay as much as they are asking for them, they need to have it done already.

Just imagine a bored out 440 reminiscent of the 6 pack or the dual quad but instead of normally aspirated, something in modern injection stuff in the new Challenger. Sadly, it would twist the car into a pretzel knowing how they make stuff today. Or just stuff in one of these (preferably the largest possible) and be done with it.

They are both great. I'll buy both when I win the lotto. (Won't ever happen cause "You can't win it, if you ain't in it.")
