Regardless of what happens, how it happens, or why.  Martial law will immediately be put in place.  Everyone agree???

Just watch:

DONT let that cop saying. "No gun will be able to be owned, we will take all weapons" slip past you!

Dont think it'll really happen that way?  It already did!

Burying guns is a waste of time.  If they suspected anything in New Orleans they just grabbed a metal detector and swept your property quick.  Guess what happens when they find stuff and you lied about it...  Their going to search and steal regardless of your wishes, or what you say.

The confiscation of firearms after Katrina was found to be illegal and unwarranted in a recent court finding.  All firearms that were tracable to the owners (legally) will be or have been returned.

Lets hope that this precedent holds for our future.  Yes, a declaration of martial law will change things but things would have to go to hell in a handbasket before that happens on a national level.

Give me my 870 with various loads, my 1911 for personal preservation and future .357 for back-up...not much need for a long gun when a sabot can reach to 175 yards out of a 12 ga...to each his own, I'm sure others will differ.  Not much dangerous game in New England other than the occasional politician...

The problem with that is that it took several years to prove it and the damage was already done.

Back on topic, my Sig P220 and Mini 14.  Hopefully it'll change when I buy a 1911 and AR.
