You can FIND ammo?  most stores around here are only keeping common ammo for a few hours after they unload it, TOPS.

It's all in the timing.  Picked up 1000 rounds of 9 at Wally world last week...had the boys behind the counter open the boxes they had in the main ailse and bushwacked that and 100 rounds of 45 before it ever got to the counter.

Rastus, no offense intended, but I believe this way of thinking is the primary factor contributing to the vast ammo shortage we are presently experiencing throughout the United States.

Ran by Gander Mtn, bought the only 3 boxes of Hornady SD .380 ACP on the shelf at $20 a pop. At least they gots some. So far, 2 trips, 2 hot finds - Hornady TAP 12 ga and then the .380. I should probably play the lottery!

Thanks Pathfinder for the heads up on "Patton 360" tonight.  My father served in Third Army under Patton as a Staff Sergeant marching into Germany in 1944 and 1945 during the Battle of the Bulge, so I am always interested in watching whenever there is a show about this great general.  He also served under him in Sicily in 1943, where he met my mother.  My dad died when I was only 11 months old so I never had a chance to know him, but I did hear a lot of his Patton war stories through my uncle and my mom.

I'll be tuned in....much appreciated.

No offense taken.  I haven't hoarded...I've just increased the size of my inventory to ensure a supply should things dry up for a bit.  I hadn't gotten where I wanted to be inventory wise, so I headed out for more a bit ago. 

None.  At least not in what I need.
