Great choices ksail !

Love the Aerosmith Version.

Still have an Alvin Lee version on cassette (God that is sad),...for the same song, and the one he did at Woodstock, which I forgot the title,..

Something like.....

Don't ask me what shape I'm in,
Can't sing, ain't pretty, and my legs are thin,..

"Don't ask me what I think of you,
I might not give the answer that you want me to." ;D

Alvin jammed for sure.

If I break out the Vanilla Fudge, you guys are doomed... ;)

The song you just described is "Oh well" by Fleetwood Mac. That was way back when Peter Green was still the leader.

Oh Well

Peter Green

I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

Oh well

Now, when I talked to God I knew he'd understand
He said, "Stick by my side and I'll be your guiding hand
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to"

Oh well

Performed by
Fleetwood Mac
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Letter to Alexander Hamilton, Friday, May 02, 1783

Gunpowder and Lead  Miranda Lambert

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

A powerful song about the effects of war on soldiers once they return home and try to adjust to the mundane realities of a free society. Could be about any soldier from any war.
