"Seamus Ennis plays a reel"

on the uileann pipes, a plumbers nightmare of an instrument if there ever was one. His mastery belies it's difficulty.

Nice Bic. I can squeeze out a few tunes on the highland pipes if you don't expect the fancy grace notes, but the Uilleann pipes? Hell, I'd sprain an arm just strapping them on. He's a better man than I am. ;D

Try this one.

Saw this one on youtube when I was surfing. It reminds me of being 25 and living in Austin as a grad student. Yeah, some of it was embarrassing in the cold light of day, but damn we had fun!;D

Emmylou and Sarah MacLachlan doing a duet of "Angel".  This one is a keeper.
FQ13 who is still wondering how Emmylou manages to look so hot at her age. ;)

Still my favorite song ever two years after I first heard it.  Why?  If I had to describe this song...

A dark, narrow alley on a scorching hot, sticky, sweaty summer night.  F'ing some short, thin, hot girl in a skirt whose name you don't even know up against the dirty brick wall behind the trashy bar you met her in.  With the taste of cheap bourbon and cigarettes in your mouth.

Yeah...  That about does it.  ;)

If God had a back up band it might look like this (at least if he were from Austin ;)). Proof the Lord does love Texas. Nancy Griffith doing "Desperados waiting for a train" with Guy Clarke, Rodney Crowell, Jimmie Dale Gilmore , Steve Earle, Jerry Jeff, etc. on Letterman. This is a classic if you like country, folk, Texas, or frankly all that is good and decent in this world. ;D
FQ13 who will once again point out that Dave has always had great taste in music. ;)

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

this one would be perfect for the Podcast  8)

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them
