Free NRA Membership for 1 year
« on: April 22, 2009, 06:39:31 AM »
The NRA is offering free one year trial memberships!

https://www.nrahq.org/nrabonus/accept-membership.asp

Spread the word!

To take a stand for the defense of firearms freedoms and accept this offer of a one-year NRA trial membership,
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

Not so fast! I signed up for this the first time it was posted as my membership is coming due. It wasn't just a money saver either, I wanted to see if it was real because just like gamedev, I figured I could recruit folks with this offer. Its been almost a month and nada. No contact at all. This may be real or it may be a phishing expedition. Caveat Emptor.

I thought that however  I checked the security certs on the site  and to me it looks lagit

also  if you go to https://www.nrahq.org/nrabonus/

there is another option

I want to join NRA at a special low rate and become a full, annual member of NRA. As a full member, I'll receive the print edition of NRA's magazines, plus insurance and other special benefits and NRA's official knife

You know, I joined for the first time in December 2008 and haven't received any info either.  I'm not sweating it we get a half dozen NRA print magazines to the house anyway.  They got my contribution.

We know his address.  What are they going to think when those magazines show up.

Breaking News! (if you're really bored) I just got my membership packet today. The offer was legit. I think signing up as many people as possible, free for nothing, is hard to argue with. Lets get out there and, to quote a gay rights group, Recruit! Recruit! Recruit! (I apologize for any village people visuals that might bring up, thinking of members of this board going out to evangelize, but I like my twisted sense of humor. ;D)
