I would use it for what it was designed.  Putting bullets in the x ring.   ;D

That is one fine weapon that deserves to be on the firing line. 

If the metal had been finely etched I might put it a little deeper in the gun safe but I would still shoot it.

Of course if I had a civil war cannon I would shoot it too.   ;D

Exactly! What's the point of owning it otherwise, unless you bought it as an investment? I mean, in the safe its just taking up space and something to oil twice a year. If you want to hang it on the wall you can buy a replica for a hundred bucks. I don't even want to know what you paid for it, but you might as well get your money's worth and enjoy it. It should give you many hours of fun at the range.

Brings back memories of times gone by and my Marksman qualificaiton with an M14 back in the day....great fun with loads of free government ammo....
