I quit drinking myself.  Last night.  About 10:30.  I'm afraid I'm going to relapse sometime around 5 this afternoon.  Been happening that way for years, now.  Of course, Haz ain't been the best influence on my sobriety ;D ;D ;D

Yeah I have strategic stock in key locations troughout Western Il and Eastern Iowa.  I just don't have any at my apt right now.

I'll play,

When beer is involved it is Guiness hands down my favorite. I do like the Sam Adams family but nothing comes close to Guiness.

Really more than beer I love my Cab's. Cabernet Sauvignon made by anybody is just good stuff.

As far as the hard stuff is concerned I like Jamison Irish Whiskey. Plain or...

Take one cup of spring water and one cup of sugar and one to two sticks of cinnamon, mix in a sauce pan and set on low. Heat water and sugar until right before simmering, DO NOT BOIL, stir frequently. When it reaches a thickness that it sticks to the spoon pour in a bottle of Jamison or other and let warm back up, stiring frequently. Pour contents back into bottle, go out and shovel some snow and then enjoy.

I like the way your thinking.  I am attempting to quit alcohol right now though.  (out of money and out of bourbon)

I had a drinking problem in my 20's..........not enough time or money.   ;D

Yeah.  New tires and a new Custom Boat cover really put a kink in the alcohol supply

My home drinks are Shiner Bock, Guinness, Jack (all of them), Eagle Rare 10 year, Woodford Reserve.  Maybe some Coke in the cheapo Jack.

My work drinks are just Shiner and Knob Creek.

My  2  favorites are;

Capt Morgan and Water.   50/50

American Honey (wiskey) and Water.   50/50

     Keep in mind, using water instead of Coke or Pepsi is better because most people get their hangovers from Carbination of the drinks ( beer also ). Using water also is good for "the morning after" - you know you drank a lot  BUT  are not sick/puking and the head is not pounding. You can funtion very well if you over did it the night before.

     Got off work 2 hours ago and will verify my reason/method of preference in another hour or 2.....Cheers.

Oh.. Just finished a bottle of Eagle Rare, can't say that I'm going to buy it again.  Woodford Reserve is good.  I mostly drink Jim Beam and the Jim Beam family of spirits. (knob creek bakers basil hyden and bookers)  When I have the money to splurge I get a bottle of Bookers Bourbon.  Extreamly smooth and Extreamly potent.  126 proof!!!

Been looking at Bookers, but fifty bucks a bottle is abit out of my range for an unknown, maybe one of these days.  Can't think of anything better to spend my tax return on...  I was quite impressed by Eagle Rare for the price, Twin Liquors had it on sale a few weeks back for twenty dollars a bottle, bought two.  Haven't ever had Jim Beam, particular make to start with?
