National day of Prayer
« on: May 06, 2009, 07:24:58 PM »

WHITE HOUSE - This Thursday, for the first time in nine years, there won't be a White House ceremony in observance of the National Day of Prayer.

http://www.onenewsnow.com/Culture/Default.aspx?id=518466

BHO says he will pray privately as he does daily (wonder which way he faces) . So if your so inclined take a knee and say one for our nation. If your more inclined find a service in your area http://www.ndptf.org/custom/events/eventSearch/

May GOD help us.

Keep trying to see the respect and decency for an American Tradition from BHO. GWB & Clinton, invited pastors and rabbi's to the White House on the first Thurs. in May, for what::?

TO PRAY FOR OUR COUNTRY! OMG What a concept!

Thanks BHO, you keep showing your a class act. Where is Jerimiah Wright? Maybe he's your better pastor......

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

This  is mystifyingly stupid. I mean, if he were an atheist and skipping it out of principle, I think most folks would respect that. Given the fact that he got baptized as an adult and parked himself in a church pew for twenty years, why wouldn't you hold the thing? I mean Clinton did it and its not like he's a real church going guy, though Hillary is and maybe it was her influence. Regardless, it just seems like its a leadership fuction, invite clerics from all 32 flavors and pray for the nation. No one gets left out, its not like we don't need it, and what's the harm?

Mountains and molehills. I've never in my life needed the state to help me pray or endorse my prayers. My grandmother used to refer to TV preachers and the politicians who associated with them "banty cock roosters" and never thought too much about people who have to make a show about how religious they are. I think she was on to something.

I pray every day. Why should one day be any different?

I am not an organized religion type person.. ( my church is the woods and I'm very private)..but I have to agree with fq13 on this one..
What would it hurt ..other than show the people that he stands behind the one nation UNDER GOD..
But he doesn't.....sooooooooooooooooooo :-X
