Just bought my Massachusetts 2009 Sportsman Hunting/Fishing for the year.  It's 50 bucks combined, including a wetlands stamp and waterfowl, two antlered deer tags, with a lottery for two doe permits.  Includes all small game, upland birds, duck, coot, woodcock, geese, all the normal players.  Archery, turkey or primitive firearms would cost another ten bucks for the year.

Bear and other tags are available as well at additional cost..as well as additional deer tags as the harvest progresses...

How 'bout the rest of the country?  Granted, we don't have elk, mulies, antelope or too many hogs...just curious...for a very small state, we really have a good game population...

Minnesota -

Sports Combination (husband and wife combo) fishing only for one, and fishing and small game for the other $38.50.  On top of this is State Duck stamp $7.50, State Pheasant Stamp $7.50, Federal Waterfowl $15.00 (?), Trapping $20.00, Deer firearm $26.00, Deer archery $26.00, Deer muzzleloader $26.00 (they used to have an all season deer license that covered all three and got you two deer and possibly three if you were drawn for a firearm doe tag for $80, but it is no more).

That's $172.50    Bear, prairie chicken, turkey and a multitude of other things being extra.

Good God, your craps expensive.  A separate license for deer firearm and archery?  I think in Texas its still $60 bucks and you can kill anything, fishing included.  When you post please put what state your in.  Whats with the lottery for does?  They need killing the most.

In our part of Minnesota the firearm doe tags are lottery and replace your buck tag (if you get a tag you can shoot either sex, but only one).  It is typical "DNR - If it ain't broke we'll take care of it" crap.

As an not of clarification - our doe tags are actually called antlerless just incase you feel the need to shoot something with spots ... or that had spots yesterday

here the basic hunting lic ( which is good for small game and thats about it.)

is $41.20 ( disabled vetern is 6.25)  jr is 10.75.

Deer lottery is 27.55  the second is 34.40.  you may or may not draw a tag.  generally you will, but not in the region you want.

upland bird stamp is $8.70

ducks is 15.00 federal and 17.85 state.

I haven't bought a hunting license in over 10 years.  Do I hunt? Not as much as I used to. I don't agree with separate fees for every friggin thing. I can accept seasons and bag limits but everything else is govt's attempt to make it too expensive or a hassel to go out to hunt. I don't think any license should be required on private property. In reading PA's game laws we found that "it is unlawful to hunt within 100yds of any food source, natural or artificial"
Really? Where the hell are you supposed to hunt then? Find the biggest strip mine and sit in the middle? Hunters are set up to fail. They are at the mercy of the game officer.
Make the license $20, get rid of the stupid regs, and I'll get one again. Until then I'll continue to be disobedient (Note I did not say civil disobedience, when I'm disobedient, there's nothing civil about it )

These prices are for Kentucky residents.  (2009/2010)

Hunting license covers:  squirrel, rabbit, coyote, opossum, raccoon, bobcat, crow, bullfrog, otter, muskrat, mink, beaver, red/gray fox, weasel, striped skunk, hog, groundhog, quail, and grouse.

$95 Sportsman's License:  Includes combination hunting/fishing license, statewide deer permit (2 deer), spring and fall turkey permits (2 spring, 4 fall), state waterfowl permit, and trout permit.

$30 Elk quota hunt permit (If drawn, $10 application fee)
$15 Bonus antlerless deer permit (2 does)
$20 Trapping license

Of course you don't have to buy individual license and permits instead of the Sportman's License, but it doesn't make since financially.  Hunting/fishing combo, deer permit (tags), spring turkey, fall turkey... all $30 a pop.

A permit is required to legally hunt deer with dogs in the 41 counties where this opportunity is allowed during the open season in addition to a $5 deer-dog hunting license.
