Good ol' crotch rockets. I don't currently own any sport bikes, but I have had the chance to drive a few at REALLY high speeds. It's a rush. But I drive everything at a faster then normal pace, because to quote an Alabama song... "I'm in a hurry to get things done, oh I rush and rush till life's no fun. All I really gotta do is live and die, but I'm in a hurry and don't know why."

That and to quote a post on a different forum..."I can't remember the last time I actually considered a Speed Limit sign as an actual limit; just as a ticketing reference."

Gotta love large capacity mags and big engines!

Dude, you live in Texas. Driving westbound on 70 out of Austin into the hill country to Enchanted Rock and beyond to Mason on those big sweet S curves, Mother Theresa couldn't do the speed limit. I wouldn't sweat it.  ;D

I've been trying to find a Cheech and Chong recording of "The Other Tapes," but I can't  :'(

Anyone out there that finds a link that one would go perfect here.

Hint:  It is on Wedding Album.

Speed costs money, how fast can you afford to go?

First car I really drove was my parent's Renault Caravelle. Its engine was a whopping 1.1 liters! Yup, 1100cc. Typical French car, sheet metal was a hair stronger than aluminum foil. Cute little bugger though, they had to go to the Italians at Pininfarina to design a car that didn't look like a wart on wheels.

Drove well, at least until my Dad traded the worn out Michelin tires (Gee Dad, I have no idea why those wore out so fast) with Standard Oil's Atlas brands. Lost 15MPH on my turns - I think the damn tires cost all of $7 each. Before he did that, I raced a guy with a flathead Ford coupe and beat him - barely on the straight - and on the turns I never saw him 3 blocks from the end of the course when I had to turn.

This is the same color as we owned. Coolest feature was a removable insulated fibreglass hardtop you used in the winter, then took it off and stored it for the summer and had a ragtop.
