I can never figure out if the big box of 4 25 pack boxes counts as a case. Its one box with 4 smaller boxes of 25 shells each and it counts as 1.
In Texas and FL, a case is usually a dozen boxes of 25, but legally I guess the same thing would apply. Thats good because you usually saved about 10%

My Walmart had... nuffum.
Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

I drive pretty close to 3 WW most days.  When I have a chance I stop on to check to see what they have.  Sometimes nothing, sometimes I get lucky.  All three keep telling me the warehouse shows out of stock for the calibers I ask about.  They never know when it's coming, it just shows up.  A lot of times, they don't even get it put on the shelf as people are buying it straight out of the packing box.  I have gotten lucky and have gotten .32ACP, 38 special,  .357 mag, 9mm, and .40 cal and .308 recently.  Sometimes only a box, and some times a few.  I haven't seen any.380, .45 auto, .223 other then high end cartridges or bulk .22 in a long time.  I may have a couple of boxes of .380 coming from another source.  A friend  stubled on some at a small gun shop and was going back to check if they still have some.  Have been seeing a few more guns lately also.  I think maybe sales and demand may be reaching their peak.

Not much ammo in local Wally Worlds in NE Ohio but went to a local gunshow and there was tons of ammo at good prices 9mm under $20/50, .45 under $25/50...Didn't check out the cost of .223 but it was there.  .38 was the biggest disappointment except for primers which were marked $60/K (don't know if they sold or not!).

I admire your conviction. I sold out several years ago as the result of them being open 24 hrs and then moving to a small town where they were about all that was left. I still shop there occaisionally, but I do try to minimize it.

I wish I would have taken a picture.  I was at one of the local Wal-Marts, and in the parking lot was a car with a F Wal-mart bumpersticker and someone with a full cart and keys to said vehicle.

I have not set foot in a Wal-Mart in years. I don't care what their prices are like. Last visit at 2 in the afternoon, they had 2 registers open with about 30 people in each line. Do you think any of the 6 people in customer service could open some registers? If you guessed "NO" you would be correct. They don't have anything I can't buy somewhere else, so they can piss off. >:(

They are on my personal boycott list (I know that scares the crap out of them  :P )

I just got back from one of the 4 WalMarts within 35 miles and was surprised to see some ammunition on the shelves!!  The last time I was there (a couple of weeks ago) they had buttloads of shotgun shells and precious little else.  Today I bought their entire inventory of 9mm (100 rounds) as well as 1000 rounds of .22LR (they had none of either caliber last trip) and the one box of 7.62x39 that they had in stock!!

Of course then I went across town to the gun store and found some other cool stuff (some of which MIGHT have followed me home had Mrs. T not been waiting in the car).  Gun store had plenty of handgun ammunition, but they were awfully proud of it.  I did pick up a couple of 30-round magazines (just for you, Haz, I educated the guy at the store when he called them "clips") for my Remington .22 rifle.  It looks scary now, by cracky.  ;D

All in all a pretty decent day.  Woulda been better had that nice little 1911 followed me home, though.   ;D
