The grants will be awarded to 1,046 law enforcement agencies from all 50 states and will provide 100 percent of the approved salary and benefits for 4,699 officers for three years. Police departments receiving the grants will then be required to retain the grant-funded positions for a fourth year.

I thought everybody getting together for a beer was going to smooth this whole thing over ???

BSO's (Broward Sheriff's Office) were left out for the pretty cops in Aventura,.... we have a 105 MILLION dollar LEO budget and lay off's are imminent.

That's funny, I thought local law enforcement was a local issue, not a federal one. where are the good old conservative republicans on this one?

Slick Willy Clinton's promise of 100,000 "new" cops on the streets never panned out either......

It's all a game, and one day that crap won't wipe off their face so easily.....
