EMF 1911?

ok.......

i understand there is a new 1911 about to hit the market.

American made and marketed thru EMF. http://www.emf-company.com/store/pc/EMF-911-Models-c108.htm

i got courious about it so i called emf and they told me it is made for them by this outfit here

I never heard of DCG before. What little I've heard about EMF sounds good. They make a lot of cowboy action revolvers.

EMF prices reflect bought parts and hand assembled.  Not too many folks making parts outside of the high end guys and folks like Caspian.  Even Sig Sauer used Caspian parts before they tooled up. 

The prices look great.  Right in the ball park for entry level guns, GI and Combat...

I'd keep any eye out.  This is the right place to fish for experience..

They make a lot of nice firearms.  I think maybe the increasing popularity of "Wild Bunch" matches at SASS meets may have prompted the addition of the 1911 to their product line.

I like it alot. The combat version is sharp and I love the price. If the gun show I attended last weekend, which was the worst I have been to in years, had one of these I probably would have purchased my first 1911. Just to give you an example of the ridiculous pricing last weekend, I found a Llamma 1911. Banged up and scratched. The fellow wanted over $800 for it. The junk was over priced and the new guns were almost double their price. Rather disappointing and was hoping to find something worth while. Not sure why, but the better and more reputible vendors of the past were not there.  ???
