SEAL vs Chimp
« on: September 18, 2009, 05:14:58 AM »
I really don't like to make fun of the Navy, but sometimes I can't help myself. Here, we can relax knowing that the most elite naval unit out there was (barely) able to beat a trained ape. ;D ;D ;D Hoorah, ARMY!

For those of you who dont' know, Scott Helvenston was on of the four contractors killed in Fallujah.  His body was desecrated and hung from a bridge at the entrance to the city.  Shortly thereafter the Marines entered the city and did their best to kill every MF'r in the city.

Sorry FQ13, I didn't mean to squash you thread.  The video is funny, but I wanted everyone to know the real Scott.

That I did not know. I am glad for the payback, sorry for his death, and unsure as to whether or not to leave what I had intended to be a light hearted post up. Does it stay as a tribute to him in happier times or come down as being disrespectful? All I can say is that he has my prayers.

I think it is a reminder of the fact that our casualties are PEOPLE, they joked around, have families and friends just like the rest of us.
But they busted their butts training and risking, sometimes LOSING their lives to stand between us and the barbarians.

FQ,

It was not disrespectful, it was a funny video in happier times.  I am inclined to leave it unless anyone has heart felt objections.
