I'd give you a range report on my H&R .45-70 Buffalo Classic but to be honest, I've never shot it. It does look nice in my safe though!

I have a box of the Hornady's I've been meaning to try in it.

SAFE QUEEN!?!?!?

I hope you get a chance to shoot it soon,...

If a rifle looks good in the safe, is it just as attractive when the door is closed? ;)

The last time I went shooting with some of my long guns I ended up with my arm in a sling for a month (7.62x54r) so I've been sticking with just my hand guns lately.

The 45/70 will deliver as far as you can see well enough to shoot iron sights, and The H&R is inexpensive enough to leave money for something shiny to distract the Mrs.   ;D

I bought my wife( she was not my wife at the time) a white gold, diamonds and saphires tennis bracelet for Xmas... 7.1 total karats... I'm pretty sure I'm covered for the rest of the year.   ;D

If you considering a Marlin, I like the .45-70 Guide gun.
