I have a feeling I know pretty well how this one will turn out here, but let's see if I'm right.
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

Funny thing is, the so-called "libertarians" here and elsewhere will probably say yes, as they want to rid our lives of gummint intrusion. As if this even matters anymore.

Hell no.

Hell yes! Its not my business, and damn sure not the state's, anymore than what gun you own, books you read, God you worship or car you drive. Who you love and marry falls squarely under the list of choices people should make for themselves. Don't like it, consider moving to Saudi Arabia, me I'm not a fan of theocracy. Preaching on Sunday is a good thing, legislating on Monay is not so great.

There is a comedian from Maine, Tim Samples I believe, who once said in reference to out of state people calling themselves Mainer's,  but I believe it applies to many things...  " If my cat crawls up into the oven and has kittens, I don't call them biscuits.."
I believe what happens in the privacy of your home should stay there, not like some who want to flaunt and rub my nose in it.
Just my 2 cents

I voted yes, not because I agree with FQ, but on Constitutional grounds.
The 1st A says :
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Marriage is, by definition a RELIGIOUS ceremony, and what does the majority (Christian ) religion of America have to say about homosexuals ?
Well one passage, I believe in Leviticus, says that men who sleep with men, as with women, are an abomination, and should be killed.
Congress does not have the legal authority to force Churches to do something that they should in fact abhor.
By the same token, since most churches are hurting so badly for donations they will compromise their principles to the point of appointing an abomination to a leadership position, it is refreshing to see SOME ONE standing up for morality.

I don't care either way, but if full faith and credit applys to other things, why does it not apply marriage lic.

remember federal law already says that other states don't have to exepct same sex marriages from other states.

While I really don't care who other people want to sleep with. The gay marriage issue in CA went hand in hand with taking raising our own children out of our hands. The left is doing a bang up job of using the issue to discredit any idea of a God (it's ok to read a book in school about a kid with 2 dads, but you'd better not bring up God). In our state, they also want to force us to have a week celebrating Harvey Milk and have our kids taught about him. Why do my kids need to hear about a gay mayor that was killed by a jilted lover?

I don't think that laws regarding morality establish any religion. That part of the Constitution is to keep us from having to be part of the one decided religion, as was the case in mother England. Having freedom of religion doesn't mean that no law can have any moral compass.

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” - John Adams
