Quote
"Border security is especially important to breaking the power and influence of the Mexican-based trafficking organizations," Mr. Bonner said. "Despite vigorous efforts by both governments, huge volumes of illegal drugs still cross from Mexico.

I don't know how to put it more simply than this:

As long as the border is porous enough to allow millions of illegal potential-democrat-voters through, it's porous enough for drugs to flow through.  Secure the damn borders, keep the guns in and the illegals out, but don't punish millions of people who did absolutely nothing wrong.

NO AWB, not now, NOT EVER.  What the hell part of "shall not be infringed" is so damned hard to understand?  This is the line in the sand.

Its almost comical to hear a former Bush aide talk about the importance of boarder security, isnt it? ::)

Only if you believed his crap to begin with. What is infuriating is that the violene down there IS partly our fault. Not because of our gun laws, but because of our drug laws. End prohibition and end the violence. But the law and order folks of both parties and the "prison industrial complex (which is worth billions)" are too damn stubborn/deluded/greedy to do that. If the choice is to give up your gun or let your neighbor get baked, what's your call? ::) ::) ::)

This is REALLY going to irritate me but I agree with with FQ on this. Just like the Volstead act, the only ones who benefit from the money pit they call the "war on Drugs" is the criminals who make more than the oil companies, and pay no taxes.
Oh, I was forgetting, the judges, lawyers, Cops, and prison guards who if not on the take, at least owe their jobs to this fiasco. And the elitist socialist politicians who use it to justify further infringements on our rights.

Much as it pains me, I agree with FQ, as well.

I agree that Tom and Tom agree with FQ!

And the stupid drug thing too.....but I'm not admitting anything even remotely as embarrassing as agree with the Professor.  I'm going with the Skipper or Mary Ann or Ginger but not the Professor.....no way.....

Tom and Tom are right on the mark though!

That's 6 gold stars on the calender. One for each time TB has agreed with FQ since june. What is going on?  ;D ;D ;D
"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

"An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject."
