Another classic case of Law Enforcement being called in to be "Parents"  Why can't people just beat their own kids anymore.  Beat'em young, Beat'em often.  While doing my 8 year tour with the sheriff's office i got to know some of the DHS workers in the area and they often said there was a difference between beating/ abuse and Discipline.  I do think the Officer wasn't thinking clearly when he decided to use a taser though.

when i worked law enforcement(5 years) i got so tired of calls like these i started to tell the parents there was no law prohibiting them from spanking their children as long as it was reasonable

I was not there, so I won't pass judgment.  I've seen kids do great acts of violance against adults and other children.

Whats also sad is seeing how it was a girl, if he would have attempted to restrian her, and accidental hurt her, even if its something minor or touched her in a "private place".  He would get in deep trouble.

lets just say for a second that the girl is trying to attack some one and he grabs her under her arms, picks her up and restrains her.  If while she is kicking and fighting him his hand slips and touchs her breast.   There is a chance, he will be called a pervert and have a complaint filed against him.  Its a sad reality that even a accident or a harmless touch, can get you in deep shit.

when I was working for a industrial painter I had a sexual harssment complaint filed against me.  there was a women "safety" officer there, she was right next to a crew of guys with jack hammers.  every one had doubled up hearing protection.  Well she was in the way of our man basket, so I put my hands on her arm and gave her a slight nuge to have her move.  2 weeks came buy and the report said I touched her in a "bad way"... come to find out it was about the 15th complaint that year.  every thing from guys telling dirty jokes to "sexual" comments.  its a construction site full of iron workers, laborers and journeymen...

its a construction site for god sake, if you don't hear atleast 10 dirty jokes a day, its time to get your hearing checked.    ;D

It is same old thing police always see. A dumb ass parent that does not have the skills to adjust little timmys attitude. These are the same people that want to have their welfare check right now. They want the government to instill the family values into little timmy. They are too lazy to go get a hickory switch and tan that fanny.

I always say that most of the world's problems either come from not hitting kids enough or too much.  Got to find that balance, but I think the taser is a bit much when a good ass whippin' would have sufficed.

Parents should soon own the entire county (after the law suit).  Tasers are tested and intended for use on adult size bodies.  Not little girls half that size.   ::)  F'n copes  >:( >:( >:(.  I've never seen one "Protect or Serve" a dam* thing but themselves.  What a tough guy.  ::)

We didn't have tasers or tear gas or domestic issues when I was a kid with my 3 brothers and sister. We had a mom with a canoe paddle and a dad with a belt.

Maybe if this kid had a mom AND a dad, she won't be "unruly". Now that she is a "ward" of the state, she is truly fV<ked.
