I haven't had scallops in years but I liked them. IIRC they only take a minute to cook. Too much cooking and I think they get tough and rubbery. The only other mollusk I've ever tried was fried clams and didn't care for them. And I'll never eat a raw oyster, no matter what. I won't even say what they look like but it's nothing good.

The last thing I had was 2 sausage, egg, and cheese flatbread sandwiches. I had a smoked beef bratwurst sandwich with cheese and sauerkraut warmed up in the microwave for breakfast. I didn't drain the sauerkraut so my sandwich was a bit wet and sloppy. Warm, wet and sloppy isn't necessarily a bad thing if you have enough napkins to wipe your hands and face off. I think pork bratwurst is better than beef but I had to try it.

A couple of nights ago, I had some Chicken Pad Thai. It was a little spicy but not too much. I could eat a bushel of it before I got tired of it. It had rice noodles and chicken spiced up with garlic, red chili pepper, chopped roasted peanuts, and tamari sauce. Tamari is something like soy sauce but better. BTW, Pad Thai is Thailand's National Dish.

hmmm..Scallops...It's been awhile...I'll put them on my grocery list....they are good.

Jumbo,  the only time I would do fried was when I used to vacation in Maine..if you didn't have yours prepared by folks who live next to them, give them another try if you get close to a good place.

About oysters....my dad used to fry them and I loved them...but raw were terrible...more for the texture...I reasoned that:  cold and firm-ok, hot and firm-ok, hot and slimy~ok, cold and slimy-nono

I had soup a little while ago, but a few hours before that I had some pupusas. A pupusa is a thick fried corn tortilla filled with things like cheese, beans, or pork. They're a popular native street food of El Salvador and they're typically served with a side of fermented cabbage slaw. The tortillas cooking smelled really good. Only a tiny fraction of the aroma at my favorite Mexican restaurant, but still good.

Of 10 different kinds made by the same company, I could only find one at the store, kale & pinto bean. Again with *&^%$#@! kale. Why do vegans have to ruin everything? What's wrong with shredded pork carnitas, or chicken and cheese? None of the other 9 kinds had kale, but I get a $3 rebate off these so I gave them a try. Even after putting cheese and salsa and even more cheese on them, they still tasted like glass clippings. If they had the other kinds at the store I would like to try a few of them.

Good tip. I'll try to remember that. I'm just about to eat some rotini with sauce and a generous amount of shredded Parmasan cheese for lunch. Breakfast was 2 tuna sandwiches with a bunch of garlic-stuffed olives on the side. The tuna was line and pole caught skipjack from the Pacific Ocean. I was thinking about buying albacore instead, but on the can of skipjack it said it has less mercury in it than most other kinds of tuna. It wasn't packed in oil or water, just some sea salt.

The rotini cost me $1.99 minus a $1.00 coupon. I'll be getting a $1.00 rebate on it too at some point. I'm being paid 1 cent for bringing it home from the store. I don't get paid to eat very often.

Bantam Bagels Pretzel Bagels Stuffed with Cheddar Dijon Cream Cheese. https://www.bantambagels.com/

P.S. I'm only getting a $2.00 rebate on the pupusas. The $3.00 rebate is for a package of Ricola Herbal Immunity drops that I already used a $3.00 coupon for, so it's a total of $6.00 off the $7.99 price.
