M&P 45 needs a tool to take it apart, something my 1911 and XD dont need. What will you do if you loose that stupid thing?

You don't have to use the tool. You can just pull the trigger as long as there is no mag disconnect. Or just just your finger to reach in and flip the lever in the chamber. But you don't have to use the tool. With my M&P9 I just pull the trigger.

Gave a good fondling to the XDM45 at the NRA Conv. the texture on the grip was almost too rough for me, and felt more like skateboard tape, great for gloves, but have good calloused hands.

As was previously posted, the grip angle was different pistol IMHO felt too grip heavy, probably more prominent with a full mag.

I know its a dependable, reliable, accurate pistol. A "go to" pistol for sure, just not my particular cup of tea.

My G21 grip is a little too big,and has these darn finger grooves, but just simply works every time.
My M+P full-size 40, was mine as soon as I picked it up.
My S&W full size 1911, with traditional wood slab grips, just fits.
Even my FN9, has a natural grip angle, and feels balanced and very stable to shoot.

Just my .02 cents.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
