More flashlights and stuff

I ordered some more flashlights and stuff from Olight on the 15th. They're celebrating their 17th year, and everyone got a Dream Blue i3E EOS Keychain AAA Flashlight with their order. They're 90 lumens and I have a some in other colors already. One color I don't have is Zombie Green. I watch zombie movies and TV shows but I'm not into zombie equipment.

And they had Otacle Utility Sets of 10 SK2 Steel utility knife blades on sale for 99 cents instead of $5.99 so I grabbed a bunch of them. I threw away the beat up old blade I was using, cleaned up the 1 blade I had left in my Stanley knife, and put 10 on these in the handle. I'm going to used the empty container to put my old blades in instead of wrapping them in cardboard and taping them up like I did with the last one. I didn't have a jar with a lid in the trash that week or I would have tossed it in there to be safe.

Neither of my multi-tools have scissors on them so I bought an Otacle P1S EDC Tool. The Otacle P1 has pliers but the P1S has scissors. I used the little key ring loop on it to attach a regular key ring and hang it on my EDC flashlight/tool holster.

The Headband for Perun 2 Mini flashlight was on sale for $1.99 instead of $3.99 so I bought one. I don't have one of those flashlights, but it looks like the free Harbo Freight flashihjts would fit perfectly if thet weren't already in weapons mounts. Then you can put the light on the side of your head instead of the front like this one. I like being able to use a free flashlight instead of a $64.99 flashlight, but I'll probably give the headband to my friend who has a small light clipped to his hat. The batteries don't last as long on those little lights as they do on bigger lights, and they aren't very  bright.

I was going to order 10 packages of the utility knife blades. I saw that I ordered enough stuff to get a free i5T EOS EDC Flashlight, either Black or Pumpkin Stains. I took 1 package of blades out of my cart and still had just enough to get the free flashlight. I ended up getting another Pumpkin Stains, like one of the lights I gave away for Christmas. Since this is an i5T, and not an i5R, it doesn't come with a rechargeable battery. It's only supposed to use a AA battery, but will take a lithium battery nade for the other flashlight and put out more light. It has a max output of 300 lumens and a max throw of 60 meters. But the R versions with their customized 14500 lithium-ion battery and built-in USB-C charging interface have a max output of 350 lumens and a max throw of 64 meters. I'll give a package of blades to 3 of my friend and still have 6 for myself. It's not likely that I'll use all of them in this lifetime, but they're there if I do. You never know when I might get the urge to shingle a shed or something where I need spare blades to do some cutting. Or to attach them to a bat to use as a zombie weapon.

I got a Magpul Night of the Living PMAG Long Sleeve Halloween Bundle for Halloween, or an after Halloween sale, I can't remember which. Last night I shined the UV light of my Arkfeld Pro on the front of the shirt and it really lit up. The hand was bright white. After maybe half a minute I shut my flashlight off and it was REALLY glowing. I think the UV light charges up the glow in the dark pigments better than white light does. The UV lights everything up in fluorescent colors, even when some things that didn't look like they were fluorescent.

Here are my Olight Baton 3 Premium Edition with charger, Baton 3 Pro Desert Tan, Baton 3 Pro Roadster Edition, and Baton 3 Pro Max Brass Stonewash, which was limited to 5,000 worldwide. Those last 2 sold out already. They're 1,200 lumens, 1,500 lumens, and 2,500 lumens. Here's how much they all weigh. There was a limited edition Baton 3 Pro Max Desert Tan color made of Magnesium that was 1/2 ounce lighter than the aluminum versions, 4.73 ounces, and my brass one weighs 8.25 ounces. That's one heck of a difference. That's even worse than the difference between my i3T EOS Zirconium EDC Flashlight at 2.26 oz and the identical size i3T EOS Small Flashlight in aluminum at 1.45 oz and i3T EOS Carbon Fiber Flashlight at 1.46 oz. Those take 1 AAA battery.

The Baton 3 uses a 3.7V IMR16340 Rechargeable Lithium Battery, the same size as a CR123A or 123 battery. I found out one day 123 = 2/3 A. They're the same diameter as an A battery, not AA or AAA, but 2/3 the length and twice the voltage. 17 × 34.5mm instead of 17 x 50mm. The Baton 3 Pros use a 3200mAh 18650 Rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, and the Baton 3 Pro Max uses a 3.6V 5000mAh 21700 Rechargeable lithium-ion battery! It's my first flashlight to use a 21700 battery. The charger case will recharge the baton 3 3.7 times without being recharged. The brass flashlight (8.25 oz.) is heavier than the 2 regular size lights together (7.26 oz.), and it's a lot heavier than the little flashlight plus it's charger case (5.89 oz.). It's 0.88 ounces lighter than all 3 of the other flashlights combined. If it wasn't a limited edition and on sale I wouldn't have bought that heavy son-of-a-gun, but I don't plan on carrying it. It's hanging on an L-Stand on 1 side of the bed, and the Desert Tan 1 is hanging on the other side.

The Baton 3 Pro Max has a proximity sensor can dim the brightness automatically when the light is blocked by a nearby object to avoid overheating. If you want to turn off the proximity sensor temporarily or permanently it tells you how in the user manual. It has a shake awake feature for checking the battery level that none of my other flashlights have, and it helps you find the side switch in the dark since the battery indicator is right in the middle of the switch. It will run up to 60 days straight in the 1 lumen moonlight mode, and more than 5 hours on high (800 lumens). It has 5,295 candela with a beam distance of 475 ft (145 meters). If I remember I'll take it camping and have it right next to me in my tent. A double-click puts it on Turbo and a triple-click puts it on Strobe, even from the off position. If a bear tries coming in my tent, I'll be the last thing it sees for awhile.
