Hornady Critical defense ammo for the .380 LCP, 9mm, 38 spl. Who's yer daddy?

My dad just picked up some of this for his Kel Tec 380. I'm thinking of getting some of this in .357 Mag. Might not hurt to get a couple boxes of .45 ACP too, for that matter.

I've noticed Hornady is moving away to the silver nickel plating on all the TAP rounds from their more unique black coating. I picked up a few boxes of .223 55 grain TAP and it's now silver nickel. I don't know what provoked it. Their catalog no longer shows any of the black coated rounds.

Got some @ McBrides in Austin, TX last week.  McBrides is "rich guy's" gun shop-they had stuff we don't see here in KY much-plenty of Ed Brown and Les Bear 1911's in stock and a couple thousand long guns.  Browning White Gold BLR Takedown in 270 wsm was cool and should have come home with me !!!!!

Be WARNED I bought 2 boxes of 9mm a few months ago and had 3 failures to fire on the first strike in my M&P9c. 2 came from the first box 1 from the second. After the 3rd FTF I put the remaining 7rds that I haven't fire back in the box and plan on sending it back to Hornady. I would make sure to fire plenty of this ammo through your gun and all from the same lot no. before I would trust it for PD carry!!!!!!! They did all go bang on a second strike but I'm not going to trust my life to a second strike ability!

I quite carrying TAP in my SD handguns and switched to Gold Dot HP. Mainly because a friend gave me 100 rounds he had stashed away. I keep TAP in my AR15.
