They sent me a 2" X 3" Velcro patch instead of a 5" X 5" decal. I'm still waiting while they look into it. I bought the Pirate Pen for my friend's birthday but it got here a couple of days too late. I gave him an old tactical pen of mine to put in the Versacarry Multitool (OWB) Holster I gave him, and I'll give him the new pen at his grandson's first birthday party in a week or two. I also gave him a small flashlight, and a multi-tool of mine that fit the holster because I didn't think his Leatherman would fit. The sheath for the Fireside and Scorpion are the same, and the handles on the Fireside, Scorpion, and Mantis are all interchangeable. So I switched the handles of the Fireside and Scorpion, so the Fireside has handles more like the color of fire than dead wood. If the tan handles looked light tan like the pictures online, instead of grayish FDE, The handle I put on the Scorpion would look more like the desert, where you're most likely to find scorpions. They all used the same T8 screws to hold them on, and I used blue Loctite on all 3 knives after I switched handles on 2 of them.
The color looks NOTHING like the picture I took. I don't know how to make it look right either, but here they are. The handles on the Mantis are green, but not bright leaf green, or whatever that is. It's more like the color of grass after it's been covered with a tarp for a few days and some of it's chlorophyll has faded away, then it's uncovered and dried out. The tan looks like light grayish brown, and the "bright orange" is a dull, dirty, slightly reddish orange. But I'm colorblind, so don't take my word for it. I can still see that they don't look anything like the picture, or the pics online, anyway. The Fireside (I think) had a small burr on the blade that disappeared after a few seconds of work with a butcher's steel.
The folding karambit is a big, thick chunk of a knife, over 3/4" thick, not counting the pocket clip, and the handle should be more rounded off instead of rectangular. I have it in my pocket right know and will take my chances carrying it in the township tomorrow, even though the blade is slightly more than the 3" length advertised. Both blades on the Grandpa pocket knife were really stiff but I worked them back and forth a while and they got a little better. They're all cheap Chinese knives, and may be worth what I paid for them.
