The icing on the cake was that from 13 - 24 the old bas*ard never gave me a raise.
So I wound up at T/C for $.50 cents an hour less 
That changed after the first 60 days though 
Sounds like my grandpa. My dad and uncle, 16 & 15,worked with him logging up in Montana for an entire summer for 4 pairs of pants, shirts, underwear and socks. That was the last year they worked for him, 1961-I think.
I started out scrubbing toilets at the trade school I attended until one of the instructors found out and he made a call. $8.50/hour in 1995 working in the Deburr dept, better than scrubbing toilets anyday, especially in the Auto shop! Just because you look like a greasy gorilla doesn't mean you don't have to aim!
