Just look at the direction the world has headed in the last 50 years involving nuclear weapons, and who controls them. In the late 50's and early 60's you basically had the U.S. and the Soviet Union. We hated each other, but both countries valued life. Nikita Khrushchev, the bad guy on the block, proved that by backing down during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He did so based on Kennedy's stand at the time. As bad as he was, he did possess the common sense that in a nuclear war there would be no winners.
Today you have a bunch of total nut job countries like North Korea, Pakistan, and soon Iran who have gone nuclear. All of these nations are crazy, and run by idiots. And all but welcome death to their citizens at the chance to kill Americans, and damage our country. All of these countries hate Jews, Americans, and the West in general, along with what it represents. (Freedom and Christianity). It's only a matter of time before someone who has zero value for human life, detonates one somewhere and causes massive radioactive contamination, and monumental loss of life. Then all bets are off.
This is all a bit like giving a 12 year old a new Ferrari, then wondering why he wrecked it.
