Now that I have started to drift off subject I would like to say in the words of Benjamin Franklin we will either hang together or we shall surly hang separately.
Ultimately the more visible the 2nd amendment/gun owning community is, the more influence and acceptance we will have.

You do have a point there Rastus, second shift keeps me from attending city council meetings, but a division of labor is possible, day workers attending night things and night workers doing daytime stuff. ................

Exactly.
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

I agree we must work to support our families. What I have found in my reading is that homos on average earn a higher household income than the general population, and they still have time to push their agenda on the rest of us.

Maybe pushing OUR agenda will get us higher incomes when we push through a law that gets us extra pay for providing on site security.
The excuse of "I have to work" is a cowardly cop out for most who are not self employed, You get vacation time, most get some personal or sick time as well, use some of it to protect your civil rightsinstead of whining about the "Liberals are always picking on gun owners". Damn right they are, because gun owners are a bunch of wooses who won't fight politicians with politics, they  (we ) are easy targets.

You make good points, gun owners are on average to nice. This is a situation where nice won't do, we as nice guys and gals will lose, and lose big time. This is a fight we didn't bring onto ourselves, it has been thrust upon us, it's not right. it's not fair, it is just the way it is. We need to fight in a lawful manner, but we need to fight. We need to act in a carefully thought out, and reasoned manner. We must be dedicated and diligent, the enemy ( and there is an actual, literal enemy ) doesn't care one wit for you and me and our families, they care only for power and subjugation.I am one pesky redskin who will be no ones slave.
