I live here in Phoenix and have Cox Basic cable. I looked into a Dish System and I didn't see the Outdoor Channel offered on any of them. I would switch to dish if I could get all of the Shooting and gun related shows, but I don't think they are even available. Does anyone know for sure, and if they are how much?  Bill T.

I have Dish Network.I have the Outdoor Channel (153) and Versus (151), which is another hunting channel in HD too.

Outdoor channel is only offered in this package for $54.95 per month from Dish Network, unless you order it "a la carte".

Switched Christmas Eve to DishHD...Outdoor Channel is two bucks a month.  One problem...it's not in HD like Versus is.  And...I was on DirecTV and was buying Outdoor Channel for the same price.  The Dish switch to HD was $99 vs. DirecTV's $450 plus an extra $20/month over Dish.

Both DirecTV and Dish offer Outdoor Channel ala carte. They don't market this offer, because they want to sell packages and get more volume sales.

Dish Network Customers
Outdoor Channel is available nationwide on DISH Network. There are a few ways to order:

    * You can add Outdoor Channel to any existing program package for $1.99 per month. You will need to specifically request Outdoor Channel "a la carte" for $1.99 a month by calling 1-800-333-3474 and speaking to a representative.
    * It is included at no extra charge in America's Top 180 package on channel 153.
    * DishFAMILY offers something for everyone with 40 channels, including , news, children's programming and more. Outdoor Channel is part of DishFAMILY. Monthly Price is $19.99.

Thanks for pointing that out Marshal...I missed it on the Top 180 and Family packages, and only saw it listed on the Top 250.
