rifle

Try to find one made before S&W bought them, ESPECIALY THE BARREL. Smith replaced all the machines in the barrel room when they took over, and the new barrels have quality issues. Let me put it this way, the scrap rate tripled in 6 months and T/C could not even keep the contract for M&P barrels.  Those folks had been making barrels on those machines for 40 years and now some "Engineer" has told them " It will be better to do this"
Because of 20 years of incedents like this my opinion of "Engineers" is that just because you have the little blue hat that says Lionel DOES NOT mean you can drive the train.

Note- Actualy the scrap rate is worse than that, it WAS $1/2 Mil per year, at the time of the sale it was average, say $1/4 Mil so far that year, in the NEXT 6 MONTHS it went to  $ 1.5 MIL, buy an older barrel.

Probably not but if you're not robbing banks or shooting with ATF agents I doubt any one would notice. How ever I don't think the Rifle stock would allow you to use a pistol fore end and the pistol Barrels won't take the rifle fore end. the screw holes are not located the same . I KNOW this, because I spent 18 months putting the sight and fore end screw holes in Encore and contender barrels.

Tom,

I am NOT doubting your knowledge of this gun.  I am just obsessed with a gun like 'Angle Eyes' used in "For a few Dollars More".

I Really want a pistol (preferably my Redhawk 45) with a rifle butt.  I know it take a stamp but at the same time I have seen black powder set ups like this.  And you can buy conversion cylinders for the BPs that allow you to shoot center fire, SOOOO.......

Lewis arms    lewisarms.homestead.com  In Bow NH had a revolver rifle, last fall. I did not notice the price. It was a revolver action .357 if I remember right, with a 16 inch barrel and a RIFLE stock, NO PISTOL GRIP this was a RIFLE, not a buntline with add on stock.  otherwise you are talking a seriuos custum job, but it would definitly get peoples attention at the range !
Just reread your post, guess this isn't quite what you are looking for. What you want would be a custom made stock and a slot in your grip frame to attach it, like on the old Mauser Broomhandles and Lugers
