I want my headstone to say, "See, I told you I was sick."  ;D
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Letter to Alexander Hamilton, Friday, May 02, 1783

Anyone that has followed the Hank Jr. vs ESPN mess has to be scratching their heads.  If you take the time to read the transcript or listen to the actual statement you will fully understand what Hank is saying.  And I must say that he is right on with his statement.  Next he issues a statement of apology to anyone he may have offended.

#1.  There was nothing racist or evil in his comparison!  Listen to it and you will hear him make a comparison showing that these two are polar opposites and it is hypocritical (sp?);
#2.  It just isn't Hank Jr. to make such a weak statement obviously trying to mend his way with the limp left.

To listen to and read his apology makes me wonder what Ted Nugent would pen if he was trying to write common sense gun control legislation to protect the children  >:(

Hank, don't wimp out on us now!  We need more people in this nation that are willing to say it like it is!

The only thing I disagree with is the notion that Obama and Boehner are polar opposites.  IMO they are just from two different wings of the one party we have in this country, that being the government party.

I did think it was terribly weak for him to apologize at all.  You would think that Hank Jr., of all celebrities, would stick by what he said and would tell anyone who didn't like to kiss his a*s.

I have always been more of a Hank Sr. fan.  I like Hank, Jr., but I like Hank III most of all.

When my dad passed in 1970 the funeral home folks assured us that, so long as the seal on his burial vault wasn't broken, he would look the same in 1000 years as he did the day he was buried.  Not sure how one verifies that guarantee, but whatever.

Trust me big boy - You never want to open a box that has been sealed shut.  It may not have changed over decades, or it may be nasty after a couple weeks.

Mr. Bogan - If I had the time and space I would go into the fallacy of the "cheaper" thing.  If I tried I would make FQ look like he was a condenser for Readers Digest, and I would open a terminology can of worms that would make the whole magazine vs. clip issue look like small potatoes.

And here sir, we are in total agreement. Post some stuff on the "Songs to Help in Troubled Times" thread.

Sorry M58, I have no clue what you are talking about.
Unless the comment refers to TIMOTHY"S post.
As for me, it will be cheaper, I don't care if they just kick the carcass into a ditch when I'm done with it.  ;D
