yep, anything with the flite control wad is pricey though.

that is basically a normal shotgun wad (aka shotcup) on the left.
and unfired flite control wad in the middle
then a fired and recovered flite control wad on the right. NO! It is not upside down. those flaps are meant to be on the bottom of the flite control wad.
since the flite control wad doesn't have pedals to peel back on it like a normal wad, the shot pellets and the flite control wad stay together for a longer distance/longer time period once they exit the barrel. so it patterns really tightly and I think it gives you a bit more range too.
my original post here with the before and after pics was based on my pheasant hunting experience on Sunday. as the Federal rep told me as he was trying to sell me on this high dollar Prairie Storm ammo, "you should let the pheasants get out a little farther before you get on the trigger".
