There have been a LOT of great statements presented to these committee meetings. Of course all of them have been ignored.
One I thought was pretty interesting was a guy who said he wasn't really a gun guy but he wanted them to stop screwing with the gun laws because he can't HIRE people to work in his business. Every time he tries to hire a skilled individual for his business they decline because NJ is such a horribly restrictive state for gun owners.
At least they let him talk because they'd never heard anything like it, but it makes perfect sense.
There was another woman who was being cut off, and she was telling the chair that they had to consider her opinions. The chair told her, "This is my meeting and I'll run it the way that I want to." She said, "Oh no, sir, this is MY meeting, and this is MY HOUSE, and you work for ME". Of course then she was forced to cease her statements.
