How many interesting videos are there from this NJ hearing? We’ve already published two extremely viral videos (here and here) from a recent hearing on NJ’s additional gun control measures.

Now we find this gem. This woman, Nora Craig, absolutely gets it and takes the anti gun lawmakers running the meeting to task.

“I do not respect an oath breaker,” she said. “Anybody who is holding a public office has taken an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States. That does not mean you put how you ‘feel’ feel first… how you emotionally react to a tragedy first.”

“Because you think it’s better that I will be safer,” she continued, “you abrogate my constitutional rights. That’s breaking your oath and I have no respect for that.”

“I’m a mom and there’s only one thing that I’m afraid of and that’s the people in elected office taking away my rights,” she said.

Craig continued on this point. “I’m not afraid of the crook that’s going to come to my door because if my dogs don’t get him, I will. It’s my job to defend myself.”

“It’s not your job to protect me,” she told elected officials. “It’s not your job to defend me. It’s your job to protect the Constitution and protect my rights to defend myself.”

****

I hope this starts to sink in....

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

There have been a LOT of great statements presented to these committee meetings. Of course all of them have been ignored.
One I thought was pretty interesting was a guy who said he wasn't really a gun guy but he wanted them to stop screwing with the gun laws because he can't HIRE people to work in his business. Every time he tries to hire a skilled individual for his business they decline because NJ is such a horribly restrictive state for gun owners.
At least they let him talk because they'd never heard anything like it, but it makes perfect sense.

There was another woman who was being cut off, and she was telling the chair that they had to consider her opinions. The chair told her, "This is my meeting and I'll run it the way that I want to."  She said, "Oh no, sir, this is MY meeting, and this is MY HOUSE, and you work for ME".  Of course then she was forced to cease her statements.
Nazi pricks.
I got the blues as my companion.
