Magoo,
If you take a GOOD or even average carry class, this will be covered. I have attended several, and everyone of them could have been taken right from the prosecution's closing argument. Some instructors will quote Massad, and some do not, but they will point out the affects of adrenalin, paid leave for law enforcement involved in highly charged situations, the reasoning, and invoking your right to remain silent until you have legal council and have had the time you need (according to your legal council) before opening your mouth.
After attending one of Massad's courses an instructor I work under discussed his opinion with Massad concerning Massad's four statements and our advise to limit it to less. Massad's reply, in a way that only Massad can say it, memorize it, practice it, repeat it.
