Yep, I know what I'm doing when I get back to the states. Thanks for the heads up M'ette! Believe it or not I actually wrote a speech for speech class about this thing, wish I remember exactly what I wrote down.

For friends "nice" ends at midnight  ;D

For telemarketers "nice" never existed  >:(

.....And I'd give in to the devil on this one M'ette  ;)

I have had my cell registered since Oct 2006 and have not received a single solicitation call.  It really works!  But smashing the phone with a hammer sounds good to! ;D

any cell phone, rather it is in service or not( all it needs is to have a battery)  can dail 911  nation wide.  its the  reason I still keep my old cell phone with me in the truck.

Been dong a bit of research.

Even tho the Cell Phone Service Providers are not going to release Cell Phone Number Lists, the nasty telemarketers have auto dialers that will try all the phones in a Cell number range.

Getting on the list will force them to make your number an exception to the hunt.

Siging up.

All cell phones need to be on silent.  It is easy to do.  Turn off that ringer.  You are are not a slave to a phone call.  I keep mine on silent and let it go to voice mail.  If it is important, I will return the call when I am good and ready.

I am on the DNC list, for over a year now.  I have received no solicitation calls, but I did receive a solicitation text message.  I had the text message feature disabled on my account to stop it.  Who sends text messages but bored adolescents?  Grow up people.

Trevor...  :'( ((Pouting)))
I send Text messages sometimes. and I'm all growed up! And I'm never bored..

It's easier and more quiet to use than a call sometimes.
And I kinda like getting them.
Take  today.. a text came on my phone ( while we were filming the End of Trail here in New Mexico) and that little tiny tinkle sound it makes was heard. I open my phone and a picture was attached of my precious grandson..smiling at me.

Then it wasn't 2 hours later and another one came.. and it was of my 6 yr old granddaughter riding go-carts while they are on vacation..with a message from her. (written by her daddy)  saying."I miss you Mee-Ma and wish you were with us. "

Sorry..this old woman likes her text messages. LOL
